When I was younger I was fiercely independent, both financially and in spirit; I was as career oriented and ambitious as many of my male peers, if not more so; I didn’t ever harbor childhood fantasies of skipping down the aisle in a big white dress; and the maternal gene clearly got lost on its way to me.

Hearting the Harajuku Girl

It’s that time again; we are off on our next adventure tomorrow – two weeks in Japan. I know. I know. I am jealous of myself!

We are doing four destinations: Tokyo, Osaka, Kyoto and Hiroshima. I’m so excited about seeing and experiencing a culture that is so different to ours.

And we are gonna look the part too. Oh yes. Everyone knows the Japanese are the most stylish people on the planet. I am not sure we will achieve Harajuku status (the name given to funky street style fashion) but we will not be looking shabby, oh no; my capsule wardrobe planning has taken on a whole new level.
